I'm looking to buy a new 16" MBP soon, and with black friday coming, looking into which paid software I might want to pickup while cheap.

Looking at:
- NTFS Paragon
- A backup utility - maybe Duplicacy, having a hard time deciding
- Maybe some type of stats app
- Looking to dabble in code more so debating picking up a jetbrains IDE

What other paid, sub $20 apps do you consider must-have for operating in macOS? Would be watching both bundlehunt and various BF deals.

Downie (streaming video downloader)
Little Snitch (essentially a reverse firewall)
Micro Snitch (camera and mic monitor utility)
AudioTest (noise and tone generator)

- Downie, best download manager with browsers integration to enable you to download any streaming video, can't live without this.

- ocenaudio (free, best open source audio editor, similar to Audacity but with an easier to use Ui)

- iMazing (best iPhone/iPad manager to easily copy stuff like photos, music, ringtones, make backups, etc.)

- hide.me (best VPN I've ever used, one subscription covers up to 10 devices connected simultaneously with great customer support and superb speeds)

- Movavi Video Converter Premium (best video converter)

- PDF Expert (if you don't want to subscribe with Adobe, this is the best one time only payment PDF editor for Mac)

- Keka (best compression handler)

- AppCleaner (best uninstaller for Mac)

I would save my money on all of those and get:
youtube-dl a Terminal command via Homebrew or GitHub, although Downie might be better for some and you. I've had minor issues downloading. The name youtube-dl is only a suggestion. It can fetch from many more sites than you would believe.

LuLu - also has the ability to add an URL blocklist since recent update.
OverSight
White Noise - Sound Machine - unless noise and tone generator means something different

I'm going to give Lulu a go so thanks for that. I've used Oversight for years and that company makes some really well written stuff.
I used to use LittleSnitch but it's impossible to use these days.
