It is the best iPhone so far. I'll buy it after I sell my iPhone 4. I'd rather have an iphone 5 but this will do until then.

I guess he's right. It is better than the iPhone 4, but is behind the competition. I guess we will have to wait another 12 months before we see a redesign.

Not really a fail but I really don't see it as progress.
All the stuff there is already to be found in android. yeah maybe Siri can talk a lil bit better but that's not a leverage from my point of view.

I was hoping for more as wanted to grab one for dev but I just see no point.
Unless you are a hard core gamer and don't have the iPad, this thing just blows.

I'm just excited for iOS 5. I'm keeping my 4. I REALLY want Siri though, and the dictation. Why can't the 4 do that? My old Nexus one did dictation perfectly fine.

I see it as a weak update. Android has many phones. iOS only has a single current model phone. For an update this small over 16 months.. I don't think it's good. Not buying, sorry.

Fail, but I'll probably get one. And only because I can for almost no cash. My wife and I are on a family plan, she has a 3Gs and is perfectly fine with it, and I have a 4. I am contract elegible for upgrade now, my wife in December. We're probably going to sell her 3Gs, and I'll get the 4S, and she will get my 4. When the next one comes out, we'll sell the 4 and pick that up, etc, etc.. Probably minimal to no cash outlay.

Watching the liveblog, I was actually getting pretty pumped. Siri looks to be very, very awesome, and if the AirPlay mirroring works with minimal lag, it could make for great gaming, especially with the added graphics power.

Then they announced the pricing structure, and I was deflated. First, because I knew there couldn't be a 5 with that pricing for the 4S, second, I REALLY expected the 32GB to be base, at $199, with 64GB at $299. I do NOT want to shell out $300 to get a 32GB, though I WANT a 32GB.

I'm on board. I have an evo 4g now with no 4g coverage here in Iowa so if I stick with Sprint I'll actually save money since I won't have to pay the $10 4g fee. I wish Sprint's network was faster though.

Totally underwhelming. All the things in the new phone have been done before.

A5 chip> faster processors in other phones (yes the graphics are 7x better)

1080p recording> been done in numerous phones

8mp camera> arguably better cameras in other phones

siri> MEH!

I'm going to hibernate until next year :(

Im sorry, but 16 months and this...? I just don't understand it. It definitely has some nice new internal updates, but why did it take so long for such a upgrade? Mad...No, Confused...Yes.

The pricing blows. I wonder how much they'll be unsubsidized. The 64 GB will probably be 800-900 dollars.

$10 is not 4g fee its for all smarthphones now including iPhone now
