Anker Astro 3E.
Its great and they have awesome no questions asked 18 month replacement.

THIS BATTERY cost less than your Anker and yet this has bigger capacity (13000mAh). you might want to check it. or this NEW TRENT BATTERY .

Funny thing I had the New Trent first and it didnt work. Time I plugged my phone in, it started smelling like an electrical fire, so unplugged it and sent it back to Amazon and ordered the the Anker. I ordered the 2nd Gen Astro 3 first, then I liked it so much that I bought the 2nd Gen Astro 2 next, so I could keep it in my pocket.

Anker makes one of the best batteries I have come across. They last really long and they have pretty good after sales !

I use Tuborcharger Power Pack with 8800 mAh capacity. The power pack comes with two powered USB ports which can be used to charge your iPad, iPhone, iPod or any USB device. Easily recharge the power pack with the micro USB cable. It supports pass-through charging so that you can charge the battery and the iPad/iPhone/iPod/USB device simultaneously

Is there anything else out there that's similar to the Phonesuit Flex? I like the idea of being able to just plug it into the bottom of the phone and still use the phone but the Flex seems a tad big to me. I do realize that anything smaller will likely come with a lower capacity but I may be willing to sacrifice capacity for size.

I've been using a Mophie Juice Pack Air but I find the added bulk to be a bit annoying. I think I may prefer to just use a thin case and then carry some type of extended battery that I can just plug in when my phone needs a charge.

What battery pack do you use?

Anyone have any recommendations based on my post above?

I tried searching on amazon but that's the only apple certified product I can see.

Maybe this:?

Thx for the reply. Neither one of those will work for me though. It doesn't seem practical to have those attached to my phone via a cable AND still use the phone.

I think I'm going to have to just deal with the bulk of the Mophie or charge my phone more often.

I really wish there was a higher capacity battery available so we could change out the iPhone's battery. It seems like battery technology just doesn't advance as quickly as everything else.

It may be expensive but why not get a battery pack with a micro USB cable built in and get a micro USB to lightning adapter.

It's really not about price for me - it's more about convenience and practicality. Carrying my Mophie JPA doesn't seem so bad until I pick up someone else's iPhone in a thin case and realize that my phone feels like a brick.

I need something that will allow me to use the phone so I either need a battery case or a charger like the flex.

I think a battery case would work fine for you. I do not see anything like the flex.

I wish the Maxboost offered a little more protection - that would be about as close to perfect as I could ask for. Without the battery on it the phone is just way too exposed on top and on the bottom.

I have that battery case but it is not apple certified. It still charges on iOS 7.0.3. I like it but use uNu power Dx now;)
