Hi everybody. I'm a new guy to this forum. My 1.83 GHz Core Duo white iMac just dead last week, due to, like many out there, the 'ICT' board problems. 400GBP to fix it!!! So I decide to get the alternatives - the early 2009 version Mac mini. I think it should worth more... So I got the Apple keyboard and Apple Mighty Mouse (stole from the iMac), how about the display? Is that any new LCD monitors are compatible with it? Which brand or model do you all use? I think I fancy the 20" - 22" screen. Please tell me your suggestion or the one you use now. tq...;)

I would say that if you have the money the 24" LED display looks like a awesome option if no dell displays are a good option. Hope this helps :apple:

I guess i'll plug my monitor, i bought a dell UltraSharp 2209WA and it's great, it uses a new type of panel, e-IPS, similar to an IPS but far cheaper to manufacture.

Anyway, it looks pretty good, strong minimalist themes, sturdy and heavy base. oh and it's best bought from a reseller. for some reason dell.co.uk have it for about £230, but i got it from here for just under £200

Anything with DVI will just work, unless the monitor size is too big. If you are young with good eyes, Dell and Samsung have 23 inch 2048 x 1152 pixel monitors. If you're a bit older, go for a 22 inch 1680 x 1050 or 26 inch 1920 x 1080 monitor. ViewSonic isn't bad either. If you want an Apple logo, buy from Apple. Unless you're a photographer, there is not that much difference between monitors. Ultrafast monitors (< 2ms) are nice for watching videos, but may have problems for gamers.

Sounds like you just need a normal display, go for something that is on sale locally. For example, I bought a nice Samsung 24" for around $300. It's supposedly to be one of the best TN panels around.

Samsung is DEFINITELY the way to go for monitors+tv displays.

i'm saving up for their 40" 720p for my mac mini (or should i say 'media center mini') :D

Thanks all, it seems most of you fans of Dell. Of course Dell is a reputable manufacturer for quality products. :rolleyes:I think which one I'll go to: Dell S2209W 21.5" Widescreen or the S2309W 23-inch Widescreen. Many thanks again...:)
