Through a few quick searches I did not find a thread on this topic.

Anyways, I was noticed at that Walmart has started carrying some reasonably priced Blu-Ray movies, which I define at under $13. Thus I am sorely tempted to buy a Blu-Ray player. Though searching for movies I enjoy I have found that many are still not available making me hesitant to make the upgrade.

What titles are you waiting for to be released on Blu-Ray that will encourage you to make the transition?

Personally I would like to see.
Conan the Barbarian (Best movie ever)
Naked Lunch
Soylent Green
Tron
Zardoz

The Abyss

I already have a Blu-ray player. I'm disappointed this one isn't out yet. Maybe because Cameron's working on Avatar.

The only HD title I had plans of getting was that new Natures Greatest Scenes or whatever that new BBC documentary is called - but then we got FreeSat HD so no more :).

While I was an early adopter. Bought my first PS3 about a month after launch. Bought about 40 Blu-Rays and slowly sold them all off, including the PS3 as well 2 summers ago. I picked up another PS3 last fall and have been just buying discs that I know I'll watch repeatedly. So far, you can say these are the ones that got me back into Blu:

-The Departed
-Casino
-Blow
-Wall-E
-Any Given Sunday (just came out two weeks ago)
-Boondock Saints (this past Tuesday)
-Both Kill Bill's

However, the one I am most anticipating is American History X, due out early April. I already got my pre-order in at Amazon for 14.99, deal of the century, I just hope they don't screw up the transfer.

I think The Dark Knight is the best looking movie I've seen on BRD so far. I would definitely recommend the Planet Earth series though.

In the Depths of the SLC!
I just got my new tv and now I really want to use its 1080p capabilities really badly. I'm just waiting for the prices of the movies to go down a little bit before I invest in a player. I want to get a really good BR player so I'm just waiting out on a sale (I might end up getting a PS3 when another price drop happens).

Lord Of The Rings
Star Wars, A New Hope, Empire Strikes Back and Return Of The Jedi
Sin City
Watchmen :)
Transformers 2 :)

Last two are coming by years end!!
Hopefully Lord of the Rings will be a complete extended edition. As I have the special editions, the ones made to look like leatherbound books. Even with all of the additional scenes, I happened to catch the movies on TNT and recall seeing scenes that were on neither the regular nor extended releases. Lets hope for a mega release with every second of deleted scenes.

Especially since the whole first book of the Fellowship of the Rings volume was cut out of the film. Tom Bombadil is never even mentioned.
