what books should i look for

    ill be getn my first mac once the new ones hit,but id like to get one fo them mac books to read and learn the ins and outs of the mac os. ive seen mac for dummies,but does anyone know of what versions to get.

    or can i get any mac os leapord book

    This is an excellent book - and I recommend it to all of my clients. Informative, fun, it doesn't talk down to the reader, and it's great to refer back to.

    books are lame. go with video tutorials. i'd recommend the site in my sig.

    Switch to a Mac is another good place to learn how to use your mac. They have a ten part series titled How to Switch that provides good information for new mac users. I also like the site My First Mac

    As for video tutorials, ScreenCastsOnline is a good one to view. A lot of their videos are free but you can also purchase a subscription if you want more advanced stuff.
