What brand Apple SSD is?

just wondering, for comparison with another ssd, what brand Apple SSD really is?

According to anandtech, all of the OEM's without exception use samsung. This is a bit confusing though since some have reported they got a toshiba... perhaps toshiba is rebadging the samsung?

Uhm, no.

The largest SSD maker in the world is Samsung. Samsung makes the drives offered by Apple in its entire MacBook/MacBook Pro lineup. Samsung makes the drives you get if you order a Lenovo X300. In fact, if you're buying any major OEM system with an SSD in it, Samsung makes that drive.

I believe the drives are Toshiba, but the controllers are Samsung controllers like those referenced in the AnandTech article.

Um, yeah.. that is a complete fabrication of what is actually in the UMBP's..

I have the 256GB toshiba I took out of my june 17" 3.06, which replaced the March 2.93ghz with a toshiba SSD in it.
