99% of my neighbours are...
Japanese. I guess that is not unusual given I live in Japan!
The real estate company I use rents a lot of apartments to non-Japanese so there are a couple of non-Japanese people in the same apartment building I'm in and others in the vicinity.
My Japanese neighbours are great - friendly yet mind their own business. They always bow slightly or say 'koniichiwa' when I walk past and are happy to chat about whatever is happening in the neighbourhood.
The non-Japanese neighbours are nice too, but there is this strange habit in Japan of 'ignoring' other foreigners you see on the street - many non-Japanese kind of look away for some reason. I still give a cursery 'Seinfeld' nod and the occasional 'hey' and in most instances get a smile in return, but usually only do this around my neighbourhood - I tend not to if downtown or out and about some place. I know, kind of weird, but if you were a noticably differnet nationality living in London or New York would you be nodding away at every other noticable different matanality person you saw? Probably not!
Love Japan - the people are great, so love my neighbours as well 😀
