What cable do I need to send streaming tv to my macbook

I have a new macbook pro and want to send streaming tv like Espn3 to my tv what cable do I need and can I do this through the thunderbolt port?

Ummm, how would a DVI plug into a Thinderbolt/MDP?

You need a mini display port to HDMI converter that carries audio, Moshi makes one, and then just any HDMI cable.
