All you need is a DVI cable adapter which goes connected from the thunderbolt port to the tv.

Ummm, how would a DVI plug into a Thinderbolt/MDP?

You need a mini display port to HDMI converter that carries audio, Moshi makes one, and then just any HDMI cable.
