I ordered a new mac mini. I have an Eizo 24" monitor(no speakers built in) with dvi so please tell me which specific cable I need to connect.

You don't need to buy anything. The 2011 Mini's come with a HDMI to DVI adapter.

As already mentioned as long as you have a DVI cable you don't need to buy anything.

If you plan to use the HDMI port for an HD TV, you need a mini port to DVI converter cable. Connect it to the TB port.
The converter is offered as one of the 'accessories' when purchasing your mini online from the apple store.
