I just bought a new LCD TV and it has a VGA PC input on it. I want to connect my MBP to it but I'm not sure which one I need. Do I need a DVI or a DVI-D or somethin entirely different?

You need a DVI -> VGA adapter plus a standard VGA cable to connect to the TV.
