What cable for iPhone gaming on HDTV?

Hey,
what cable do i need to connect the iPhone to the HDTV so i can use the TV for gaming via iPhone.

I wanted to buy the AV Component cable but at Apple store they told me it only displays iTunes content (Videos) on the TV and it was also way too short.

Is there anything existing that does that, displaying the iPhone on the TV?
