Way to issue a blanket condemnation with no basis whatsoever. Care to provide a source for those numbers?

Of the 8 people I know with JB'd iPhones, not one has knowingly pirated an app, ever. Most of us have actually spent more money in the Cydia store than the App Store, because there's more useful **** in it.
Ditto. Don't assume we risk screwing up our $500 phones to save 99 cents on a few apps. *shakes head*

Have a source for that number?

Don't worry, we'll wait.

Yep, just go to these piracy forums, they have more members than MR.

I just browse some piracy forums.

Just because you steal apps, don't project your lack of morals and integrity on others.

?
My iPhone isn't even jailbroken.

one and only reason i jailbreak is for themes. love customizing the look of my iphone.

i used to jailbreak in the 1.x.x and 2.x.x days so i can play games like TTR but these days, I don't find gaming on a 3.5inch display very entertaining.

SBSettings is the best JB mod available that I seriously cannot live without.

It is so good that apple needs to steal this, digging around in settings to do this is a UI failure. If they stole this and byteSMS for ios5 can you imagine how happy people would be?

Well, 90% of the jailbreakers use it for one purpose: Piracy.

Maybe users in their teens that dont have their own money but for us adults its a lot easier to get our app updates through the app store/cydia

I admit I went wayyy overboard with about 60.00 in cydia apps and 120-140 ish in app store apps (40 of that was tomtom)

Can you IMAGINE how much of a pain it would be to have to deleate and re-pirate all of those apps everytime I wanted to update??

Means nothing. You have no actual numbers, and taking a look at a userlist for a forum, or even the numbers of active/registered users is completely useless. You have no idea how many accounts are duplicates, how many were one post wonders, or just registered to get access to some info and never posted.

Not sure how this is relevant to anything that has been said.

So? Mine is. Also I've paid for all my applications. Including the ones available through Cydia instead of stealing them. You want a cookie for not JBing your phone?

Don't have any demand for Apple, but I do have one for my carrier: Allow the use of the built-in, ready-to-go tethering function. Personally, I only JB to use MiWi, altho other Cydia apps are fun/useful.

If $oftBank would make tethering a legit option, say with a 500 yen/month charge to cover "excess" bandwidth use, I'd run a stock iPhone. But I understand you guys' wish that Apple would be less tight-assed about what developers can and can't do...

There's nothing Apple can do to make me trade in the J/B as long as there is a market for it.

I J/B just for the resale value. When I put my phone up for sale with all of the SHSH hashes and unlocked baseband, I get much more for the phone than an locked phone. I sold both of my 3GS 16GB's with all of the 3.X hashes and the 4.28.XX baseband for $550 each a month before the IP4 came out.

I have 2 things, one is AT&T and one is Apple.

1. Don't restrict performance over 3G (app download limits, YouTube quality, mobile me gallery quality when downloading images etc.) - Apple
2. Let me tether for free (I am okay with data limits i.e. 2GB, but let me use the data however I want) - AT&T

The only circumstance me or any of my friends would technically pirate a paid cydia app is if it was taken off Cydia for over a year and never returned. I think if the only way to get an app is the illegal way, then so be it. Just like NES roms (before the wii shop channel came along).

convince att that users shouldnt have to pay more in order to tether a laptop to their phone. 2GB is 2GB right?

oh. and the ability to tether by creating a mobile wifi ap.
