What can Apple watch do with other iOS devices?

I picked up a new Apple Watch Series Nike+ edition. I am totally new to Apple watches so I have no idea what it can do with other iOS devices. So far I have discovered it can do.

- Unlock my Macbook Pro
- Press play and forward / backward in iTunes.

Are there other things the Apple watch can do with the Macbook Pro and/or iPad Pro?

You can e.g. use it as an external viewfinder for the camera app on the iPhone.
