Since this is home theater related I thought I'd post it here.

I picked up an original Roku for really cheap a while back at a thrift store. It came with everything except a remote. I bought a universal remote, played around with it, and decided my Apple TV meets my needs fine.

Is there anything I can do with this? Am I maybe missing a market? Or should I just toss it out?

Donate it to a friend / family member. That's what I'm looking to do with my ATV3. I've had it for years and now that I have the 4th Gen it's been moved off to a TV in a room that is rarely used. Rather than just have a device wasting away in disuse I'm going to see if I have any family member that wants a free device.

The challenge (for me) will be to find a family member with another Apple device. I know the ATV works fine on its own; but when you can pair it with another Mac or iPhone for streaming/airplay the functionality becomes much more useful.
