Disk Inventory is not working properly on retina screens.
Well there's also GrandPerspective but I tried that and it didnt work on Yosemite.
OmniDiskSweeper works like DiskInventoryX but instead of showing you a graphical map of your files, it just shows a list like in Finder.
You can right-click the app, click Get Info, and check the box to run in low resolution mode. It should work properly after this.
I use DaisyDisk. Works pretty well.

+1 for DaisyDisk
For DaisyDisk there is a download and buy button. Is the download a trial version?
I use Grand Perspective on Yosemite without any problems. I do like Daisy Disk also
When you download Daisy Disk it will run in a Test Drive mode for a limited time.
Disk Drill: a screenshot
Attached: a screenshot of Disk Drill's view of file system usage on my Mavericks startup volume.
I use a separate file system for my home directory.
