I am witnessing just why I've got to and always have a screen protector. It should be here tomorrow but in the meantime I've got to clean the screen before I apply it.

My screen looks a mess I tried cleaning it with a slight damp warm water microfiber cloth, but looks like I might have scratch the screen with some dirt or sand rubbing against it I see one speck now that isn't rubbing off :(

This may sound crazy, but I have always cleaned my screen best simply by rubbing it across whatever I am wearing at the time - jeans, clothes for work, etc.

Go to sunglass hut and buy a box of CLARITY CLEAN IT moist cleaning cloths. i use them for my sunglasses but u can use it on anything with a lens or screen and they're really good.

I always just use a microfiber cloth an if I want to use liquid I use some of my Oakley lens cleaner...$10 a battle and free refills for life.

Thanks, just curious in the meantime before i get to a store can i use a small bit of alcohol mixed with water on a damp cloth?

I love switcheasy's microfiber cloth that comes with their cases. They aren't cheap of flimsy and do a good job of getting rid of the prints. I also like iKlear and the cloth that comes with that cleaner.

I do the same. Or of I'm shirtless at home and my wife is near by I rub it on her.

I've heard that if you use an alchohol-based cleaner like Windex, you can ruin the smooth coating on the iPhone that keeps your fingers from sticking. I just rub it on my shirt. And it comes out spotless. The back doesn't though.
