What can you REALLY do with new Siri?

I was curious what practical things can you really do with this new Siri?

I saw one long-winded demo by Apple, where the presenter was planning a party, looking for ideas, asking for recipes, etc (all with Siri AI)...However, this seems like one of those cases where it isn't common and it's so uncommon that you'd forget you can use Siri.

Any practical usage? Also, did Apple talk about AI hallucination (which is marketing for being completely wrong)??

Tons of YT videos by now, just start watching them and if you know your use case then research a little bit more. Regardless, you won't get the full experience until the Sept release.

It's alright. It doesn't remember past conversations. I told it earlier in the day about my investments and movements. I asked it later to tell me about my investments and it said due to privacy, it won't keep that info. Yes it can answer things easily, but it's rather direct. One thing I found interesting is that I told New Siri that I had some uranium and it told me to contact authorities. Gemini told me how to store it, how to handle it, and the legality of it.

My "practical" usage this week:

• Asking for a total of my gas, electric, and cell phone bills so I know how much money to leave in checking.
• Asking when I changed my insurance policy (was trying to remember when I bought my car and wasn't sure if I had an email from the dealership).
• Asking it when a FedEx shipment was scheduled for delivery.
• Asking if I already owned a movie (it found the Vudu receipt).
• Asking what hotel my wife wanted to stay at in Atlanta.
• Asking what actor played Miller on The Expanse.
• Asking what the dimensions of the PlayStation 5 Pro are.
• Having visual intelligence identify a succulent.
• Having visual intelligence identify a puzzle toy on my desk so I could order another for a peer.

Siri does not currently include any of the usual warnings about AI being sometimes wrong or making mistakes. That may change before it is released to the public.

The various Influencers, Podcasters and others are often Pro-Siri because they make their living promoting Apple for clicks, engagement and to remain in Apple's good graces. Therefore it’s not often one gets the real story.

As an observer not being for or against the new Siri AI, it’s clear that what Siri can really do won't be known until it’s out of the beta period and being used by millions of iPhone owners.

Even then it’s going to be a very long time before it’s fully debugged and mature. It took many years for Apple to get to this point, therefore it’s best to collapse any expectations for this new version.

Then there's the matter of how it will run on any iPhone model older than the 17 series. As a very resource intensive app, that also remains to be seen. Apple is in the hardware business and will create FOMO to entice people to buy their newest iPhone model.

Do you know how Siri was getting this bill info - was it just emails?

Yep. I didn't need to explain what bill was an electric bill or a water bill or anything. It just found the most recent emails from them, told me the individual balances, and the total of all three.

I'm talking to a new girl I'm interested in for the last few weeks, already went on a few dates. I asked Siri to summarize what she likes, and Siri came back with some valid bullet points from our last few weeks of conversation. Handy as my memory has gotten worse with age.
