When I go to the Apple store it asks me to pick a carrier first. I just want an unlocked phone as I travel between, Guam Thailand, Korea and U.S. Are they all the same? Or do I need to specifically pick AT&T or Verizon then choose the pay in full option?

You'll want the Verizon if you're planning to use a CDMA carrier while traveling (US and Japan).

Otherwise, the ATT/T-Mobile version will be sufficient for world travel (GSM).

Thank you. AT&T it is then..I have the 6 plus now with a micro sim in it...So it will be nice to just move the chip over and restore.

It's probably worth mentioning that the biggest advantage the AT&T version had on the iphone 6s(plus) was the addition of LTE band 30.

Well, that band has been added to ALL iPhone 7 models.

The only glaring difference this year is the CDMA chip:

TD-SCDMA 1900 (F), 2000 (A)
CDMA EV-DO Rev. A (800, 1900, 2100 MHz)

The iPhone 7 models A1660 and A1661 (Verizon/Sprint) carry the CDMA chips.

What if I travel between UK, Vietnam, Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, Thailand, USA? What model would be the best for me?

I'm leaning towards the Verizon version, well I guess it doesn't really matter between Verizon or Sprint, because the specs are exactly the same.

So I should be able to just use my existing ATT Sim in my iPhone 6 once I get my Verizon iPhone 7 then without any problems?

If you are going to pop in a prepaid Nano-Sim on the iPhone 7, find out what network the foreign carrier uses. http://www.apple.com/iphone-7/specs/ use that website to figure out what band is supported on what phone.

This page should beneficial as well: http://www.apple.com/iphone/LTE/

The problem ordering now is that you need a post paid account at one of the 4 carriers (if ordering in the US). If you knew someone with Verizon, who would be willing to pre-order for you, that would be the best option. GSM unlocked without further action, especially if paid in full.

I'm using a company called KT Olleh here in Korea now and it has LTE, so after reading all these replies, the AT&T model is the one to get.

Thanks for the assist...appreciate it.
