I'm surprised more people aren't talking about the incase snap "smoke" case. This is hands down the best feeling & looking case I've used.

Elago S4 Breathe case just landed

Just got my bumper case from the case program last week. It's now no longer in use as my silver Elago S4 Breathe just arrived.

Thin. Feel great. Looks great. No button or flash issue Prefect case.

I have a few. I change them often (depending on my mood!).

black Candyshell, black Incase Slider, black Bumper, black Incipio Feather, smoke Incase snap-case, translucent Incipio NGP Matte, black Incipio NGP matte

I've switched cases quite a lot!

  1. otter box defender
  2. case mate barely there
  3. black apple bumper + sgp black leather skin + white lucky labs apple logo
  4. white gear4 the band + sgp black leather skin + white lucky labs apple logo
  5. black scosche band edge + black lucky labs carbon fibre + red lucky labs spectra wrap with apple logo
  6. black speck fitted case (latest revision) + silver lucky labs spectra wrap

I currently have the speck fitted combo on and it is by far the best one I've had in terms of style plus protection and feel!

Otterbox commuter..fits great, great protection, 20$ shipped on amazon...

have used a bumper and a griffin etch....

After destroying my pink bumper trying to get it clean*, I'm currently using this:

http://www.amazon.com/splash-CRUISE...r_1_5?s=gateway&ie=UTF8&qid=1285646126&sr=8-5

I bought it as a temporary fix--I do think Apple will rerelease the colored bumpers when the free case program ends this week, and a good friend is sending me the pink bumper she isn't using--but after using the Splash Cruiser for a week now, I'm not sure I'll go back to the bumper again. The Splash is heavier, since it does have a solid back, and it's a PITA to get on over a front skin (forget using a back one, won't fit). But it's got a much more solid feel to it than the bumper did, and unlike the colored bumpers this case doesn't pick up dyes from my pockets or bags. In fact, it really hasn't picked up any dirt at all. So far, no issues with the case scratching the phone, or with the rubberized case coating cracking or coming off in any way.

One thing to note is that in spite of the wide flash/camera cutout, I do get some noticeable pink tinge at the edges of the flash when used against a white background. It's not been an issue in normal use, but I will be coloring the edges of that cutout with a sharpie eventually.

Comes in several colors, including basic black. Buttons are all easily accessed while in use, and if a cable doesn't fit the bottom slot, the lower portion of the case slides off easily. This also makes it very dock friendly.

Not bad for under $20.

*- When using OxyClean to clean the Apple bumper, do not leave the bumper in the OxyClean solution for longer than 2 minutes. The resulting bubbling of the rubber makes the bumper look like it has leprosy. :( Unfortunately, the material used in the colored bumpers seems to pick up every bit of dye, dirt, grunge, and other filth nearby, and absolutely nothing works to clean those stains off.

Here is mine!!!

I just got my iphone 4!!! One of my friends recommend this case!!!

I love this case because back of this case has apple logo hole and the case's company make the dust cap for earphone dock connector cap that other company missed. Also, it fits perfectly!!!!

Cases

I'm currently using an Incase Snap Case. It has a nice, matte feel to it and is easy to grip. It's build quality is very good, and it offers some protection. It has a slight lip so if you lay your iPhone on the table, the case will lift it off by a millimeter. You'd want this case if you want some protection, but still want to keep the form factor of the iPhone 4. (It comes in 2 colors- Smoke and Clear, and is $35)

If you'd like more protection for your iPhone, I'd recommend the Incase Slider. I've heard that some screen protectors will bubble up in this case, but when I tried on this case, it worked fine. It offers more protection than the Snap Case, and retains the same build quality. (It comes in a few colors, and is $35 as well)

I've also previously used the iFrogz LuxeLean. It's quite similar to the Incase Snap Case, although its build quality is not as good. It has grilles on the side, which gives it a distinctive look. However, after time it attracts dust. It is also quite hard to remove from the iPhone. (It comes in a few colors, and is $25)

I have the black bumper with a cheap skin on the back. However I plan on getting the Zagg/SGP Steinheil EX Crystal Clear or Anti-fingerprint full protection. I have never been big on cases with my 2G and don't plan on using them now with the IP4. It's like buying a beautiful car only to put one of those ugly bras on the front and a ridiculous body kit.

I can understand a case for the iPad to prop it up but not the iPhone.

* This only applies to the non clumsy, non paranoid, and not accident prone IP4 owners.

Haha perfect way of putting it, I couldn't of said it better. But everyone has their own opinions. I myself love the look of the iPhone and love the bumper but as others have complained about, the ports are to small and third party chargers and headphones aren't useable. Which is why I ordered a bumper alternative called the case-mate hula. Haven't received it yet, but hopin for it to arrive tomorrow. Lots of people seem to be happy with the case mate hula that loved the bumper.

Is that the sky blue or true blue color?

where do i get this though? It looks pretty good!

I have been using Fortte cases for years and have been very happy with the products they offer. I just had them make me a lateral case that will fit with the bumper Apple provided...Can't beat service like that.

I have 3 cases in total.

Griffin Reveal = 1st case I purchased when I received the phone. It was okay, but the plastic back was horrible and very prone to scratch. Also was a dust magnet and sides were too flimsy.

iSkin Solo = My 2nd case. Very nice case with a great side grip. Hard silicone case which I love.

Speck Pixelskin HD = My favorite one so far. I thought I'd try it out and eventually put the iSkin Solo back on, since I loved it so much back then, but much to my suprise, the Iskin is still collecting dust and the Speck case is getting much use.

I have three cases:

Incase Snap in Smoke - Almost like carrying the phone naked and great if you really just want to protect the back of your phone from scratches. The biggest issue I have with it is that the volume buttons are basically flush with the case and it can be tough to find and push them without feeling around for them.

Pixelskin HD - Potentially my favorite but I can't seem to get past the clicking sound and feel when I squeeze the sides of the case when it's on my phone. I think the material is a bit too soft or something and there's too much play in the case when it's on the phone. It also tends to bubble my PS AG in the upper left corner from time to time and I have to pull the lip of the case up to make the bubble go away. If it didn't have these two issues, it would be the perfect case for me. It adds virtually no bulk to the phone, the buttons are easy to push, it looks great, it provides protection and it's not a lint magnet.

Incipio NGP from Walmart - Love this case but I'm a little puzzled as to why it seems to feel so much bigger and heavier on the phone than the Pixelskin HD. When you compare the cases side by side, they are virtually identical in size with the Incipio being just the tiniest bit bigger; however, the Incipio feels significantly bigger on the phone than the Pixelskin. It's so puzzling to me. It's a great case though. It doesn't bubble my PS AG at all, it's got a great feel to it and the buttons are easy to press and give you a nice tactile response.

I find myself switching between the Pixelskin HD and the Incipio pretty frequently but I'd like to settle on one case. If I could fine something as thin as the Pixelskin HD but a little more stiff like the Incipio, I think it would be perfect for me.

My two favorite setups so far

1. Incase Snap in Smoke with powersupport HD antiglare front

2. Apple bumper with phantom skinz matte back and clear front

I HATE cases because they all feel too damn bulky to me. These two setups have good protection and dont make it too bulky and thick for me when i put them in my pocket. I was using bumper setup since launch day. I just started rockin the incase snap in for the last few weeks and absolutely love it! also HD antiglare from powersupport HIGHLY recommended!
