I always hated cases and covers and all that, simply because to take away from the beautiful design of the iPhone itself.
With my 2G I never used a case, I used it for about 3.5 years and had it scratch-free for 2.5 years.
But now with my iPhone4 I've got a bumper from Gear4, a leather pouch from some unknown brand and the SwitchEasy Nude.
I always use the SE Nude now, I absolutely love it. I even put on the screen protector. One downside is that the back does get 'greasy', on mine at least.
I have the black one btw.

I'm using and loving this case:

Doesn't look very grippy...... plus, I don't like the visible screws.

The real question is: would you be using that case if they didn't send you a free one for you to review.....

$85 for a bumper.....and they don't even throw in free shipping.

Agreed, kinda off topic but whats a good alumium case thats somewhat reasonably priced?

Would I buy it? I can't really answer that because I'm used to not paying for cases. But yes it's a great case and the price is high that's for sure. I'm using it even more than other cases I like so yes I would recommend it.

i was reading those aluminum cases seem to affect the gps and cellphone signal. it does make sense since you have a medal piece blocking the antenna.

Any sagging issues with the silicone inner?

I have had a Commuter that I have used off and on for a couple of months (Since the beginning of September) and I haven't noticed any.

The one suggestion I would makes is though that you essentially need to "tighten" the plastic shell by pushing/bending each side of the plastic before you put on the plastic. After doing that I have had zero issues.

The outer plastic used to be a little loose, but after bending each side it fits extremely tight and causes zero sagging. The plastic actually comes over the bottom where the sagging on the Case-mate - Tough occurs so there is no chance of it sagging/stretching there.

The 2 complaints are the no cover for the Apple logo and the silicone picks up a ton of lint over the course of the day. Not as bad as the Tough case or the Defender silicone covers but it is noticable.

As for my case I usually use my Element AR15 for daily work or the Commuter when I need a little more protection while TDY. I honestly have too many cases.
