iPhone 5S
-Same design as iPhone 5
-Quad core A7 chip
-13MP iSight camera
-Fingerprint scanner
-Different color options

And then you go and put in a cheap case that completely negates whatever colour it came in. :p

Quad-core is interesting. Does this mean that whatever new major feature in IOS7 may not run that well on 4s and 5? I am already expecting that the iPhone 4 will be largely excluded from the next round of upgrades.

I want to be able to talk and surf on Verizon, so some new chipsets to do that would be in order...

Why the camera downgrade? That would ruin IQ.

How is it a camera downgrade?

The iPhone 5 has a 8MP camera.

The iPhone 5S is rumored to have a 13MP camera.

Before you go and say "huur duur megapixels make images look worse"

You don't think Apple will solve the problem themselves by adding more lenses and making a bigger aperture, adding in more light, isp, etc.

I'm not going to list every single thing they're going to add.

My guess is depending on how different iOS 7 is, Apple will either use dual core or quad core.

iPhone 4 will get dropped support (it already has 3) and even if it does...iOS 7 is just going to kill it.

I expect the same type of upgrade we got from the 4 to the 4S. My wife has my old 4 and I'm on a new 4S. They seem pretty much the same phone to me.

Everyone has been saying how rocket fast and perfect the 5 is, how can you improve on 'perfection'?

I would like to see something innovative in the imaging space. Something similar to what HTC have done with Zoe on the One.

iPhones have always taken great pics and videos so it would be nice to see something new or a redesigned gallery.

What's the probability of the iphone 5S being released in June instead of August ?

Not buying one....

still I can find appealling these things:

a)New processor
b)Bigger screen
c)More storage (128 GB option)
d)Better LTE/4G/whatever called support
d)Last, but not least important, a better price....:D

:):apple:

c) Likely
d) Possibly
e) Not happening although they may come out with a completely new phone thats cheaper.

Thanks Abazigal.

Damn.. I so want to get an iPhone but I need a new device in May-June..

I doubt that the next iphone will be in June, they haven't released one in June since 2010. Most likely it will be in September just like the 4S and 5.

Apple already said that would require a new chip and modifications to their antenna systems which they were not going to make. I might think this might be possible if they redesign the phone for the iPhone 6 next year, but we will all have to wait and see. I for one could not live without this on AT&T :)

I hope so as I bought the iPhone 5 shortly after launch and it would be nice to have a year out of it before its suddenly considered old. I don't see the rush in releasing the next edition when the iPhone 5 is still an excellent phone.

come on people what with "more powerfull chip", not one app currently needs more power than the iphone 5's current chip has to offer. Completely useless upgrade feature if you ask me.

oh you poor baby, i cant imagine the day when the new iphone comes out somewhere in July and you'll be at home crying because your iphone will be considered as "old"

Not in the market for a 5S, i am more than content with my iPhone 5 until the 6. I think some changes will no doubt be a processor speed bump, better camera, better maps and siri. Not into the huge screen thing, I hope they keep the size the same, maybe some alterations to proportion.

That's pretty much how I feel about what I want from an upgrade. I can't upgrade until September 2014 so who knows what Apple will have released by then? It might be that I choose a different manufacturer altogether. I'll buy what I feel like at the time. :)

I think we can pretty much be 100% sure the 5S will not have a larger screen nor a change in aspect ratio.

In addition to the standard spec bumps, I'd realistically like to see:
Harder Aluminum
Better/harder finish
Anodized colors

iOS-wise, I think we're in for another disappointment.

re: What change would you expect for next iPhone?

Change from £500 would be nice!!!!!

In that case it would be far better to have the lower pixel density of 8MP combined with the lower ISO. Image quality would actually improve. There's a reason that my old low-MP cameras still take better pics.

I see no point in ramping up picture size and merely maintaining IQ so that I can print posters with mediocre quality images.

1 thing I would really like to see are some suggestions when typing in words. And also ability to store unrecognised words as part of the dictionary. On Android if you type a word the phone doesn't recognise it asks you if you want to save. Can't tell you the number of times I have to bypass some stupid auto correction and type it in full over and over again.
