What color did people actually settle on or get with the M2 Air?

After a quick visit to the Apple Store today, it really was tough to distinguish Starlight from Silver. I ultimately went with Silver but would be totally happy with Starlight.
Fingerprints aside, Midnight was fine but just not for me. Space Gray seems dated to me somehow (as I type on my current SG M1 Air).

It's funny, that's exactly how I feel about the Space Gray, as I sit here typing on my SP M1 14 inch MBP.
I got silver which I’m loving after 5 years of space grey (a colour which I have really gone off now!).
Midnight looks cool, was very tempted, but finger prints plus concerns over longevity (esp scratching around ports) meant it was a no go for me.

All about the midnight. Fingerprints are semi annoying but I have no complaints wiping it clean. I do this constantly already for my iPad Pro and Magic Keyboard which are also fingerprint magnets and I’m able to sleep at night.

Refurb store gonna have a lot of midnight MBAs. lol.
I'm returning my midnight for starlight, but the return is based on getting a higher spec and changing color for the heck of it... although I won't miss Midnight.

Doesn’t Apple replace the whole outer casing on refurbs though? They can change the returned models to whatever colors they want.

I got starlight for my daughter and midnight for my self. I like both colors
According to what I read when I bought my M1 Air refurb, they just clean the case. They do replace the case on an iPhone for refurbs, though.

Space gray. Sure, it may be a little boring at this point but it still looks nice. I know what to expect, and it’ll match my external trackpad and keyboard. Silver is too light and feels too retro to me. Starlight is cool but I’m not a fan of gold. Midnight is the color I originally ordered but after seeing it in person and hearing virtually every review mention how it’s a fingerprint magnet my OCD forced me to go with tired and true space grey instead. I still think midnight looks nice (but in promo and unboxing shots almost exclusively, unfortunately).

Cancelled midnight preorder, ordered starlight. still have not seen any colors in person yet though.
I live in the city a few blocks from an Apple Store. It is a subtle difference between silver and starlight, and my guess is that it is going to look different in different kinds of light. When the two are next to one another, I can easily tell the difference. When I come upon a starlight air by itself, it takes me a second to realize it is starlight and not silver. Mine comes today.

Have a silver 2016 MBP. Wanted something new. Checked them out. Midnight - fingerprints galore, like really you look at it wrong and it leaves a print - no thanks. Starlight - to bright/flashy. Space grey it is!
