Green or blue, though the pastel colors don’t appeal to me personally.

Seeing these makes me wonder if Apple will release different colors periodically like the g3 iMacs though.

Silver. It's a tool not a fashion statement.
Most everything we humans buy is wrapped in style of some kind.

Clothes are basically tools to cover our body. And yet, most people wouldn't walk around in burlap sacks.

Cars are tools as well. And yet, you probably bought your car (in part) based on the its fashion, in whatever degree.

I am picking between Orange, Yellow, and Pink. This image from the Apple site makes Yellow look really dope. The thing that irks me the most is how ugly these colors look from the front.

Realistically silver, but I voted blue because it looks awesome, but my Mac is against a wall so I'd only see the front. I think I'd rather have a white bezel with silver chin than light blue.

It would be between blue or silver. I also have a thing for the orange iMac reminds of the older iMacs with color.

I try to keep my stylish settings on point with color especially having the iMac in my room haha.

I’d like to go purple if it was the color of the back all the way. Having a hard time picturing the lighter purple in the office the iMac would be in. So I’m going orange.

They really should have at least offered the Silver with black bezels. Was planning on getting one to replace my parents 2011 21.5, but just not sure now. I really dislike the white bezels but really need to let them decide. I used to alternate white and black iPads for them so they could tell whose was whose, but this last time they both said they prefer black.

For me, that's true for some things - but for me a computer just ain't one of those things. For me, a computer is a tool, just like a hammer or a wrench. I'm more interested it what it can do for my workflow. It might matter to some folks, and that's fine, but I honestly don't care what color my computer is. That said, I am very excited about the possibilities / power of this new iMac but I will probably wait until the larger-screened version comes out.

I really like this pic as well, and selected yellow in the poll for this reason. That said, I'm really not sure -- the iPad Air colors looked different in person than in Apple's renders, so I'm waiting to see these in person. I also think much depends on whether or not the back of the machine is a part of your room's decor as it is here.

I'm torn between silver (most of my house is wood, white, and silver themed with plants), or yellow for a warmer tone.

Green doesn't look bad either

I'm genuinely torn, I really like the color yellow, but the purple looks REALLY nice.

My finacée would get green in a heartbeat, it's her favorite color.

While I understand everyone has a different opinion, describing the other colors as "hideous" is pretty extreme, even as far as opinions go. I think a lot of it has to do with what the rest of the room looks like you're going to have the iMac in. But the colors in and of themselves are fairly subdued - nothing crazy.
I think the subdued nature of the colors is what some people have an issue with. I could be wrong, but I just don't see many adult men being drawn to pastel electronics.

i want the pink... but the back of the pink looks red..... i sure wish we could see them in person prior to ordering without having to wait til late may to order (and then not receive until god knows when!)

blue is my second choice. love the saturated back color of that one.

when i asked hubby what color he was getting he said: silver. he doesn't like the pastel fronts.

Well, adult men aren't the only target demographic for iMac sales and there's the silver for those that don't like the pastels. I personally would rather have seen the darker shade of each color on the backs used for the entire iMac (or at least the chin too and keep the stand pastel), but I can see the beauty in both. If I had to choose, I'd probably get the blue (silver comes in 2nd).

I like all the colours (except silver as it has been around for a long time). Choosing one would be really difficult. I prefer pink, orange and yellow. If I were to buy one it would come down to pink or orange. But have to see pink iMac in stores as it seems more like red.

A while back, an office (remember those?) had a dress code: grey or navy suits, white shirts. One day, a change came down from upper management - casual Friday, which allowed for blue shirts, along with the same grey or navy suits.

Only a few months later, another memo came down - casual Friday was cancelled. Apparently, blue shirts got a bit too crazy.

I have to say, most of the commenters here sound like upper management at that firm.

I personally would've preferred a British Racing Green (along with chin), but the purple looks quite nice.

I am waiting to the end of the year to see if eventually end up caving and get one. But, these are my favorite colors in the following order:

- Blue
- Purple
- Silver
- Green - its a polarizing color and nothing something I am fond of.
- Yellow - Not a fan of color everything, its a bit gaudy and something I want to look at everyday.
- Red - Its just too much, I like a little bit of red in some places, like for trimmings, so for example, the red looks nice on the sides, but its too much on stand, back and salmon two-tone pink on the chin.
- Orange - nice color, but, just not something I want as my everyday.

By the way, does anybody else see what I see? Jane Fonda moment.
