Hello :)
Right now I have a Apple Watch 6 Space Grey and I was thinking of upgrading to the stainless steel graphite version... the only problem is in my country the Graphite seems to be out of stock all the time (very strange, I am constantly checking websites with no luck for the past 2 months)... Reading this forum a lot in the past couple of months and looking at a lot of pictures I began to like the look of the stainless steel as well. I love switching bands, I mainly use sport bands and sport loops, I have lots of colors, all Apple. I rarely use my leather loops, I have only 2 so far, Meyer Lemon and Saddle Brown.

My question to you guys is what version of the watch do you think will go best with lots of sport bands and loops the classic SS or the SSG.

Thank you guys for sharing !

Just my opinion here. I have the S6 SS graphite that I purchased a few months ago. I also bought some colorful sport bands/sport loops (red, orange, blue, etc.). I found that the graphite worked best with the black sport band. I was itching to have something more colorful for casual wear so went ahead and purchased another S5 SS silver. I like that the SS silver goes better with colored bands more. So now I have a graphite SS as a more formal watch to use with black sport band and leather bands and SS silver for weekends to go with colored bands.

With all this said, I have seen that people here like the looks of graphite with a variety of colored bands. For me, personally, I liked the silver better. Besides it satisfied my itch to have two AWs.

Just about any color will go OK with silver, but certain colors go great with black.
For example orange and black is a good combo. Orange and silver is OK. (My subjective opinion, of course.)

So there is your choice: more band colors that go OK, versus fewer band colors that go great.

Easy choice. Silver goes great with everything, especially in the mirror finish of the Stainless Steel Apple Watch.
For some reason I never liked the silver aluminum AW... but the Stainless Steel I do like... I think maybe because my first watch ever was a used mechanical Stainless Steel one

Agreed. OP: just take a look at this thread and you will see that the most inspiring combinations are usually on Stainless Steel watches.

And if you love bands, you should definitely visit this topic, too. 😁

I am enjoying all those pictures and comments for more then 2 months now... I still haven't seen and read them all :)
I am sad that most bands you can't find anymore or if you do, are pretty expensive...
I really love the Apple woven nylon bands... so many wonderfull patters and color combinations... So sad that they stopped making those...

yeah, the woven nylon bands were the best.

As for graphite vs silver stainless, both are great choices. The graphite actually can look pretty silver in the right light, and I think it's very versatile for that reason. The old space black was very nice looking but didn't pair as well with as many things - ditto the gold stainless.

A few comments :
- reading the comments and watching the likes that I got I can say that not many of you liked it... ah well, I tried
- people that made fun of me got the likes instead of me... that in my mind translates to : next time keep it to yourself... no one cares
- I have 2 more AW's so I wasn't in any hurry... for the first time ever I took my time to unpack it and it was a nice experience...
- once unpacked the novelty wore off in a matter of days even if it's my first SS. I still love it as I find AW to be a must have device especially with the upcoming update that enables to unlock the phone with my watch while I wear my mask outside.

Sorry but it seems that you make this for the like at your post in this way 😬

Enjoy your new watch and don't mind about other people 😉☺️

I picked silver for my AW. good thing too. I was with a co worker moving some rebar and he pulled out a bunch and hit my watch. it's scratched but if it were spacy gray it would look 100 times worse. Silver goes with EVERYTHING.

I'll rant a little, I am sorry about that :

I don't think some people here quite understand the meaning of the "like button"... is not like you have to pay a fee each time you push the button and it's not like I am getting richer each time I receive a like.

People asked questions in other threads and I took the time to answer them aaaand... no reaction... I am not asking a 1 page thank you note but when you get back to the thread an read the answers a "like" would be similar to "thank you for taking the time to give me a good answer" ...

If I were to fish for "likes" there are others means to do that... it does not take much to figure out some ways that does not require a lot of effort... but I don't see the point in that to be honest... I am here to be a part of a nice community and to help people... I guess I will have to see if the community wants me here and people are nice enough to stay.

JMHO: Don't interpret too much into the number "Likes" - neither here, nor elsewhere... it's nice when somebody hits that button but you don't die if not (personal experience);-)

Actually, I for one liked what you did, thought it was novel, and do care. Don't take the comments negatively, I think the comments were more about people acknowledging you than being negative. Better than no comments, no?
Cheers
