Just a small thing to know if you're getting one with a white bezel: When you're in darkness, or in a relatively dark area, and you boot it up, it absolutely blinds you. It's a black logo on a white background, meaning almost the whole of that huge screen is at its very brightest. I still don't get why different coloured models are programmed differently.
Anyway, that aside, it's ultimately subjective. I would just say whatever appeals to you best. I recommend looking at them in person rather than pictures.

I use to be pro black border when it came to gadgets. But since getting a silver iPhone 6 plus I change my mine.

Just today I got a space grey iPad Air 2 because I was playing it safe. But I seriously regret getting it now. I absolutely hate it. My heart kept telling me to just go with the silver one but my mind was just trying to play it safe.

I just stuffed the iPad Air 2 back in its box. Don't even want to use it because I hate the black borders. I don't know how all this time I stuck with tablets and phones with black borders. I can't return or exchange it because it is open. So I'm out of money . Wasted cash. I won't be able to buy a new iPad until I go back to work in October. So I'm just going to have to deal with not using an iPad until then.

Hopefully my iPhone 6 plus will get me by until then.

Get the gold or silver. I the silver looks nice because it matches well with the front of the iPad.

Think a visit to apple store maybe

I went with white & gold, my first non-black device. I didn't know if I'd really like but I have found that I do - very clean looking.

Yes the space grey is smudge city. I don't find myself cleaning my silver iPhone 6 plus as much as I did when I had the space grey version.

I have a black/ silver 4th gen and a space grey iPhone 6. My sister has the Air 2 in gold with a lime green smart cover.

My iPad Mini 2 is silver/white
My iPhone 6 is Space Grey/black
My other iOS devices are all black bezel...

I prefer the silver/white for the iPad Mini, but I think taht's just because it contrasts with everything else.

Personally don't like the gold. I also don;t like white/silver iPhones. Millions would disagree with me.

I have a white 1st gen and a black 2nd gen Mini. I like both (of the colors) equally. I use the black one because I can't stand not having a Retina screen.

Gold Air 2
Don't like space grey and my 5s and 6 Plus are already Silver. So I needed to freshen it up :p I like the way the Red Smart Cover compliments the Gold nicely.

I got the space gray Air 2 only because I wanted a black bezel. I like all the colors they make and was debating the gold model but I know I would get tired of the white.

Gold Air 2. Was hoping to get space grey but those sold out quickly when I was wanting to order my Air 2 online during last Black Friday. I'm not disappointed I got Gold. I think it looks really good.

Silver, I can't explain why but I don't really like black bezel on a big tablet.
