I'm not exactly sure on the displays, I only checked out the Apple section and only peeped the rest. I'll have to go check it out but I'd definitely go with an Ultrasharp instead of a LED display if it's an option.

It's just really strange that it seems that you can only get a discount on the campus store. Apple and Dell have education sites for schools. Here's my online shopping for hardware.

kellen macrumors 68020 Aug 8, 2009 #57 Do you play games or anything that would stress the 9400? Are you really going to need the screen when you travel with it? If no to both of above, get a 13" MBP and an external. If you do play games or need more screen real estate, get the 15 and an external.

Click to expand... he can get a discount anywhere that offers student discounts with a student ID, or proof of enrollment, etc... i think the question is does his grant only allows him to buy thru the campus bookstore, or can he buy elsewhere.

I don't play games, I have an Xbox 360 for that. I'd like to have a powerful computer and an amazing external since I'm going to be a graphic design and photography major.

Click to expand... That's correct, the $6000 grant is for bookstore only meaning i can spend on books, computers, supplies, ect.. If i want to purchase the computer elsewhere, it comes out of my pocket.
