iPad What connectors would I need to connect.....

I want to use an iPad 8Th gen as a video monitor while filming with a Galaxy S9 Plus. I want to use an HDMI cable to connect them and achieve this.The Galaxy S9 Plus has a USBC port and the iPad has the lightning port. Is there a single cord that I can connect that will allow the HDMI to display on the iPad?
I'm new at this and just want to be sure I get the right cord/connector that will work.

iPad does not support HDMI in (only out) and by the way other tablets don't either, so what you are trying to do is just impossible...

Im afraid you cannot do that.
 
Thanks for the advice. I thought I could do this after watching some youtube videos where it appeared iPads were hooked up as field monitors.
 
Thanks again guys for "adjusting" my expectations on this. I'll go in a different direction. Think I will just buy a dedicated field monitor instead of trying to get an iPad to work for this purpose.

It’s possible to use like this via an app using a private local wifi network, for sure with a dslr.
 
Yea, the App is not a good option for me. Typically they have significant lag and require a constant internet connection....both are deal breakers.
 
I use my iPad Pro occasionally via camera connect with my 5d’s and it’s great but I shoot stills so can’t comment on video lag. It doesn’t need any internet connect, it forms a LAN.
