Are you close to your router or far away? It may be dropping and reconnecting because you're out of range.

The WiFi icon is not a great indicator of strength.

I'm close to the router, and no one else in my household is having this problem.

Try turning off your AirPort on your MBP by clicking on the WiFi icon and selecting 'Turn AirPort Off'. Turn it back on and try connecting.

I've done the Airport thing, and it works temporarily before dropping again.

Are you running Lion? If so, there's a bug that does exactly what you're referring to, and there's no fix for it yet 🙁
