All computers crash once in a while

Been using Macs daily since 2007 as a DAW. Pushed them to the limit regularly with plugins + 60 mono tracks or more. NEVER have had a kernel panic in any of my Macs.

I have never had a BSOD in Windows 7, guess the scores are 1-1 so far .

some truths in your post. I stopped using windows in the 90's. Spring of 2010 I added windows 7 and I now use windows and mac. Bottom line is to have both is better. All mac or all windows is more or less foolish since both companies have good and bad points. Also both companies are looking out for number one or number two. None of us are high on their priority list.

Indeed. When someone finds themselves in a position where having multiple OSs is a requirement, they have the choice of bootcamp or one of the many virtualization options. I opted for Fusion for Windows and Linux, because the underlying technology matches what we use at work. I imagine anyone that needs hardware access to the GPU (gamers) will opt for bootcamp.

For every-day productivity (correspondence, internet, media composition and management, etc), I find that a single OS will usually fulfill someone's needs, and that OSX is typically a better option.
