I love Things.app because their watch complication shows 3 todos at once, and if you move another task to the top from your phone/Mac, it automatically moves to the top on your watch as well (i.e. shows up in the complication, because the complication shows the 3 todos at the top of the list).

I'm trying to use Reminders.app now. I have ~10 tasks that are due today. They are from different lists, and none of them have a time alarm, i.e. they should all be treated equally. The Reminders complication only shows 1 todo, but it seems to be completely random?? It's not the todo in the top. And if I move another todo to the top (from my iPhone), it doesn't update the complication. If I take one task and tell it that it was due 6am today, it still doesn't update the complication.

Am I missing something?

Does Things show a reminder without date and time in the complications? So I can use it as a shopping list?

https://culturedcode.com/things/support/articles/2157909/ Scroll down to the list of three complications, I use the middle complication that shows 3 todos. The watch app only shows tasks that have been labeled as "Today" i.e. should be finished today. The complication shows the top tasks from this list. It also has awesome sync (more reliable than iCloud imo). Unfortunately its not cheap, especially the macOS app.
