I'm not sure how this happened, but suddenly my phone's speed seems to have greatly increased. It's amazing how fast its apps open now. The question though, is how did I do it? I didn't change any particular configurations such as turning off animations, I just started to notice an overall improvement for no reason, would it be because the indexing has finished? I bought the phone last December, so it's only 4 months old. Any ideas?

I edited the post with better grammar And iPhone model ;)

Salut Tomi,
God knows, maybe it's just Murphy :D.
When have you updated your FW or when you last restarted your phone?
(Vive Genève! Listening to NRJ Léman at the moment ;)).

I've the last version iOS 9.3.1, and I restarted my phone last night, more like the battery died and I charged it again

Salut Tomi,
(I lived in Geneva for many years, was posted there, worked in the UN. My son was born there. Hopefully, will go back soon to my favourite city ;)).
Most probably the change was caused by restarting the phone. Sometimes it is very useful.

Cool, I am Swiss, I thought you were Belgian hahaha my mistake.

Yes it could be, but the weird stuff is that I never saw my phone this fast even when I have restarted it before.

Definitely something wrong. I would take it back to Apple Store, complain and trade it in. Or just live with it :D
LOL nice issue to have.

Restarting phone, reboots it like any computer. It's not a bad habit to get into. Is this first reboot with the latest software? Are you sure it's the phone? Is it downloads and surfing web that is faster? Perhaps their was an improvement to the connection you have, wifi, LTE ?
