I didn't think I "petted" my iPad, but I've just realised that I do do a lot of swiping and scrolling whilst doing email and browsing the web. Does my iPad enjoy that? Am I making it happy?

Answer: unlikely, it's an inanimate object that I'm anthropomorphising for reasons I'd probably rather not be told. Quiet, Freud.
