Black Friday shopping was an adventure to my 12-year-old daughter. We love to do things together. She got to see how different the crowds were at Kohl's, Belk's and Walmart. She also got to spend her own money to purchase a television for her room and some gifts to give this Christmas.
I am glad that it comes once a year but I can certainly see how it benefits the retailers. Most of the people at Kohl's and Belk's bought other things than just the Door Busters. Another plus was Kohl's was giving out Kohl's cash $15 for every $50 you spent. A great way to get people to return after the holidays.
