I love the first star trek. I use voice control all the time andfor me it works reaaly well- gues my delicate Aussie twang?
Well for me it's like the enterprises computer. When it repeats back to me playing songs by Pete murry it makes me smile

Because that's what iTunes called it. I was surprised that iTunes knew my name!

I was boring and went with 'Hector's iPhone'. My old 3G had a name change though, to 'Hector's Old iPhone'

all of my computers/devices are named after final fantasy characters. just gives it a more personal touch!

I drive a white VW rabbit. It makes sense in my head.
I broke my standard naming convention where all of my drives, ipods, shuffles are named after women or singers (both some times). External HDD is Frank, iPod is Nancy, USB drive is Ella, Nano is Haley Williams (that one was sort of a joke...but it stuck), etc. I can't remember what my shuffle is named...I never use the thing anyway.

when you say named do you mean in itunes because the its Paul's Iphone and for my wife Marie's iphone
if you mean say you get a call do you say "hey onyx is ringing" thats a tad odd

I'm going to be highly original and carry over from the iPhone 3G name i used which also came from my 2G, Serenity. A nice tranquil name that is also a sci fi nod to my old favorite tv show firefly.

I love Firefly so much. Serenity was a pretty good movie as well.
iTunes knows everything about everyone. Hell, it could see what was in my iPhoto library
