As far as I know there are no other 6K displays... there's the Dell 8K but that doesn't work without workarounds so wouldn't recommend it. I don't know of any display manufacturer that has the same build quality as the XDR. There is the 32" BenQ PD3220U 4K though and when you sit right in front of it it's just a very large screen with thin bezels and no logo's, I think it's great, nice colors and it has 85 watts charging through thunderbolt 3.

The panel is produced by LG so it's possible if they think it sells well. There aren't many manufacturers yet who can produce these panels and I read the production cost of the panel alone (no minileds no other electronics no casing etc.) is $1500. So if you keep electronics, packaging, marketing and finishing cheap it'll still be expensive. There aren't many brands able to sell monitors in this price range, some professionals like EIZO and NEC etc. Asus also tries. It also looks like PC manufacturers like to use multiplications of full HD like 4K, 8K and up. In my opinion the resolutions Apple uses for the respective sizes work much better. Anyway... I don't think we'll see anything cheap soon, there also aren't many 5K monitors yet which in my opinion is ideal for 27 inch and the Apple/LG ones where released 2016.
