Great people, great weather (i like cold weather but really you guys shipped a little too much down here this summer, hello?), great bands, great food, great scenery, and best of all, you haven't ever sent us the bill for all the hassles we gave you guys and your government during the Vietnam years. I would say much more, and all in gratitude, but the thread would get busted to that other forum, so suffice it to say thank you for being a truly awe-inspiring neighbor then and now.

I am disappointed in your lack of reverence for our esteemed work as your hat.

But we need 55ºF mean overnight temperature for eggplant to set, and about that for tomatoes as well! Got the hat on upside down or something? It's barely 50 degrees some mornings, 47 last week one day.

Never mind. On balance, ya done righteously good in the hat department, with one or two notable lapses I remember from the 50s in Rochester. 48" snowfall off Ontario overnight a couple times. Couldn't get the cars out of the garage or driveway for a week each time.

Keep up the good work; your reward is virtue itself :D

From Tucker Carlson:
Canada is a sweet country. It is like your retarded cousin you see at Thanksgiving and sort of pat him on the head. You know, he's nice but you don't take him seriously. That's Canada.

My views on Canada are somewhat similar.

But what you don't know is that the "learning challenged" cousin is in fact just quiet and polite. They have been watching all those family moments, the fights, the spats, the illicit romances - you know, all those moments that any family keeps to itself. Well, because the cousin is family - all those sordid episodes have been played out in front of this "learning challenged" cousin, who actually has been writing a series of best-selling novels under a pen-name. Once a year they leave their modest one bedroom townhouse with a sensible mo-ped in the garage, and head down to Rio for Carnivale for the week. Here they dance 'til dawn, have wild romantic flings, buy rounds of drinks for the entire bar, and are generally considered the heart of the party. And then they come back, and continue their quiet life, watching.....

ps At that "All American" beer summit held yesterday - well, a little bit Canada crept in. See - we just sit quietly, to the point you may think we've left the room, but we are always there. Watching. :)

Yeah....but the cousin's still retarded. :D

Unprocessed1 is a sweet poster. They are like your retarded cousin you see at Thanksgiving and sort of pat them on the head. You know, they're nice but you don't take them seriously. That's Unprocessed1.

... co-creators of baseball, the world's first communication satellite, builders of the CN Tower - tallest free-standing structure in the Americas (built in 1975 it was the tallest in the world for 31 years, until surpassed by a structure in Dubai), inventors of the Newt Suit....

LOL. At least I'm not Canadian.

And in reference to your avatar:

Why do you think Canada never starts world wars or talk crap about other countries?
Because they know they would get their royal #$%@'s beat. lol

Why do you think Canada never starts world wars...
Very few countries have since, you know, there have only been two of them.

... or talk crap about other countries?
Oh, but they do. You should see some of the things they've said about the US as part of the soft-lumber dispute. Here's a recent quote concerning the 'Buy American' law:
"It's like dealing with a big kid in a playground. They push you, you say OK. They push you again, you say OK. Eventually, you've got to kick them."

Because they know they would get their royal #$%@'s beat. lol
Oh, you mean, like during the War of 1812? ;)

pardon my use of humor and incorrect statements for amusement to further the obvious goal of the thread. Lol

You mean the country that has never, and someone correct me if I'm wrong, ever.... lost a war or been on the losing side of a war? And Canada has been in a few wars that the US hasn't (Boer and Crimea, for eg.).

I see a bunch of people putting "LOL" or "Lol" or "lol"

Are people really laughing out loud at things they themselves say that aren't even that funny to start with?
