Hey guys,

Just ordered a MacBook and I used a Visa card - but its coming up in my invoice I used a Mastercard... help!
 
Shouldn't matter. Could you have selected the wrong menu option?

VISA and MasterCard use different prefixes on their card numbers, so the number is unique and should go through either way. But you might want to ring up the seller (was it Apple?) and see if they want to update it.
 
maybe someone with a mastercard paid for you 🙂

joking aside, visa/master are pretty much the "same" anyway so i wouldn't worry too much unless there's a credit card fraud involved. i always use amex, but carry 2 visas just-in-case.

Hey - Yeah I bought it off the Apple Higher Education Store. I may have selected Mastercard but Im not sure.

UPDATE : I havnt recieved a confirmation email. So I went on and signed into my account on Apple and was greeted with this massive red sign saying they had not been able to recieve authorisation for my card so I edited my card info and it seems ok now - still no confirmation though... They wouldnt have charged be twice would they?
 
OK Good - everything has been updated and its telling me my method of payment is Visa XXXX etc etc. How long will it take until the email comes through?

When your order is dispatched you'll receive a confirmation email with a tracking number saying that your card has been charged bla blab la.
 
When I log into my account on www.apple.com/uk and goto Order Status, it comes up.... hopefully everything is ok... typical of me to balls up the order although Im guessin thats good it didnt go through last time - caused me less agro!
 
You should generally receive a confirmation e-mail shortly after your card charge goes through. It went pretty quickly for me (I placed two orders this month and got confirmation e-mails back right away, both times). If it doesn't happen soon, you might want to call up sales support and ask for a status from them.
 
It seems to have gone through ok - its a debit card so they money should be taken out straight away... The money is in the account so hopefully its out by now - just woried because there is no confirmation email 🙁! Has anybody else had to wait ages on a confirmation
 
UPDATE : Just looked at the Shipping Status and its now changed to 'Prepared for Shipment' - I take it this is a good thing.
 
Got the email - its being processed and is preparing for shipment 🙂! I ordered AppleCare - how will this be shipped?!
 
I hope I liek it! First ever Apple computer - ive heard theyre good, hopefully they are 🙂 and i can ditch windows!
