Strange question I know but I dont want to mess things up.

I have an unlocked and jailbroken iphone and I want to start putting stuff onto it from itunes, can I just plug it into my macbook and itunes or will itunes automatically sync and or update it past 1.1.1?

I am using it on vodafone in the UK - it is an american iphone with 1.1.1

Please give me some guidance about what I can and cant do, I dont want to accidently update it.

If it matters I already use my itunes with a nano with video.

It won't work, you have to give it to me as you wont want to waste your time with it any longer :D

Actually, it should all work fine if its all unlocked etc..

Just remember NOT to upgrade to 1.1.2 if iTunes prompts you that a newer version is available

    GOOD LUCK

iTunes will only update your iPhone if you specifically tell it to. It may ask if you if you want to upgrade but you just tell it not to. There's really nothing to be scared of.

Go to iTunes Preferences and disable (uncheck or unselect) update notifications... You can also manually disable software updates (on a Mac). Likewise in Windows... in any case, the rule is : DO NOT UPDATE to 1.1.2
