macOS What do I need to know?

I am wanting to learn how to program applications for Mac.

What do I need to know, can anyone point me in the direction of guides, advice and tips?

There's a link at the top of the programming forum for getting started. Also use MRoogle to search Macrumors, there are tons of threads here on this subject. Good luck and feel free to ask questions here, but it's best if you try to search first.
