Hey everyone,

I have spent a long time searching for an answer to this and have watched a lot of videos with no luck. When you hold down the "run" button in the toolbar, three more options appear:

Test
Profile
Analyze

What do each of these do. I have pressed them but have trouble figuring out what they do.

I know (i think) that "Profile" opens up instruments and allows you to test the memory usage etc or your app.

Strictly speaking they run the schemes of the same names, which you can view in the Edit Schemes window. It's the same as the menu items of the same names under the Product menu. Test runs unit tests, if you have them. Profile runs Instruments, for leaks testing and other things. Analyze runs the Clang static analyzer and gives you a report about any failures.
