I like iTunes 7 - but I hate the scroll bars, and the fact they took the visualizer button off and stuck it in the menu.

Both seem very un-Apple to me.

I don't like

GUI
This interface looks like a mock-up to me rather than a finished and polished product. However i want to believe that the current graphics are just placeholders of what's to come with Leopard. I can't believe they will stick with those scrollbars or the button style at the bottom.
Also that dark album selection graphic has to go now - it grabs too much attention.

Coverflow
It was nice but only the first time i used it. Wasn't iTunes all about instant searching and easy access to your songs? It takes me forever to track a specific song and i know all my album covers.

Of course you could see it as just a fun and alternative way of browsing and playing your music, but hey what's next, a virtual jukebox-style coinslot? Am sure it will look good with FrontRow when you are navigating with the remote, but in any other case it just bloats up iTunes.

Also am i the only one that finds cover browser view scrolling way too slow?

Other glitches
In order to change the size of the visualizer you now have to go into the preferences, as the option is now gone from the menu (took me some time to discover this).
Also 2 buttons i used alot, the Visualiser and EQ buttons are now gone from the bottom of the main window, only to be replaced by the ugliest buttons™ ever made by Apple.

Oh another minor thing, i'll miss the old nuke-style burn button! :(

I like:

Gapless playback!
At last my psytrance albums play like they were meant to played. :D. Of all the features announced this was the single one that made me excited about this release. Good job to Apple for this one!

... and that's all. I don't really care about the Music Store since i don't use it so i can't comment there. Also i didn't have the chance to check the new iPod updater because it's in for battery replacement, but it looks nice from the screenshots i've seen.

It is a bogus upgrade. Apple seems to be catering to ipod lovers in this release and not nearly as user friendly as v. 6. I wouldn't mind the new features as much if they hadn't removed some others that were my favorites...

upgrade schmupgrade. bah!

[edit]: I thought I was losing my mind, could have sworn I already posted my opinion, oh it was in the op's other thread? Dude, iTunes 7 is getting me into a bad mood and yer not helping!;(

So do I.

I also miss the nice blue scroll bars, the new one looks very ugly. Is there a way to change it through preferences or something like that?

Still, I really like the album cover views and gapless playback is a great feature. iPod related menus look cool as well. Overall, it is a thumbs up.

I am with you 100% -- well accept I am kind of glad the nuke-style burn button is gone -- yes it looked cool but it seems like destructive symbolism. It would have been cool if they would have kept the same concept but replaced the nuke symbol with something else.

I'd like the scroll bars better if they were consistant with the rest of Mac OS X, but they just look so out of place next to the "jelly bean" scroll bars.

I'm not mad about the new scroll bars - but its not a big issue.

I didn't notice a new 'nuke' burn button will have to check it out.

I just love (and I mean Love with a capital L) the Cover Flow.

Its always bugged me that i couldn't view albums via thier covers, and when the iPod Photo came out I was certaain it would be a feature.

I don't expect cover flow on the iPod itself, but we should be able to browse via artwork.
If we can sroll through pics - why not covers?

I did notice that copying a CD took much longer, and will dowload the update, which apparently fixes that problem.

Overall I Love the new itunes - simply because of the cover flow.
