Other than a case for protection do you just throw it in your backpack, do you have a special bag for it or do you just carry it in hand when you go out

I use a Switcheasy Canvas Folio case. Works out beautifully and I don't have to worry about the front or back getting damaged when I store it in my laptop case or set it down on a table. No screen protector though. I'm very careful with my iPad.

Targus 360 case...Then I throw it into a Timbuk2 XS (if I am just going out for the day), or my larger Timbuk2 if I am travelling.

Then again, sometimes it just gets thrown in my gym bag (of course, protected in the Targus case, along with a great velveteen soft pouch drawstring bag I purchased off of Ebay. I bought something like 20 of these bags. They are great for the iPad, as well as any cords, adapters, etc.)

I use the ShrinkMe app before I go out and shrink the iPad to iPod Touch size. Then I usually slip it in a shirt pocket. To expand it back to iPad size when at my destination, I hold it 1/3 the distance from my eyes as I usually hold it. Looks the same. Saves using the ShrinkMe app again. :D

I have to carry around pads And lots of meeting minutes for work, so I carry it in the Hard Graft 2unfold bag. I first got the bag for carrying my macbook air around, and I have to say it fits both nicely. Although that said, I get teased a lot for carrying around a European man pures as I work in construction. But it doesn't bother me at all, because I love the bag so much! Not to mention every day it gets a little more worn, and a little more "my bag".

    Bluetooth Keyboard + Case

Check out the cases with a built-in bluetooth keyboard. They turn your ipad into a word processing laptop with the pages app.

Switcheasy Canvas all the way for me. Don't need a special bag, just throw it with the rest of my stuff into a duffel.

My iPad 1 goes into a cheap generic netbook neoprene sleeve I picked up at Office Depot the morning I got the iPad. It has two pockets on the front which are perfect for holding the charger, a sync cable, and the camera connection kit.

Mine lives in an Oberon case but if it goes out I put it in either a handmade ribbonwork bag which also fits my Mac air 11. I just got a nice bag made by Brenthaven for Apple few years ago. It is nice for traveling because I can fit all my "toys" in it with a camera, kindle, wallet, phone etc and still have some room for papers. So I am good to go.

I just carry it in hand with the Otterbox Defender (iPad 1). Used to have a Speck Candyshell that I carried in the Speck neoprene carrying cash.

haha--agreed. I don't understand the bluetooth keyboard cases. If you want a netbook, get a netbook.

But to be on subject--for about $10 apiece on eBay, I found a silicon case for the back and a zip up folio style hard case to keep the iPad in. I started out with a screen protector, but it annoyed me way too much, so I took it off and threw it out.

I commute a lot, and I bought a Wenger backpack that has a compartment in it designed for the iPad. So the iPad in its case fits beautifully in that padded compartment. Suffice to say that my iPad is well protected when I'm rushing around the city.
