I'm an IT engineer working for local government in the UK, we deal with basically every kind of public-sector technical support you can think of such as local government employees, libraries, schools, preschools and day care centres, secure units for offending kids, prisons, schools and colleges, environment offices, registrars, social care sites and the national health service, environmental depots, leisure centres, supported housing schemes, tourist information centres, highways maintain systems.

List is endless really. basically if you work in the public sector in the north east of england i'm sure we'll meet at some point!

It's not as easy as you'd think. People are constantly honking at you, and it's friggin' embarrassing if you have to pick your girlfriend up at her parents' house after work without having a chance to change beforehand.
