What do you do if you're walking with your iPhone and it starts to rain?

a little sprinkle wont hurt it. theres a stress test for the new iPhone somewhere on the internets where someone washes it under a tap and it still works (albeit condensation starts to form under the glass). so if it starts to pour jsut put in in your pocket, bag, case etc.

I hold it proudly above my head, for the mighty iphone will shield me from all of nature's inclemencies. Behold!

The iUmbrella? Same as prior to the iPhone's release... (you could use your headphones also, and put iPhone in pocket as you seek shelter/brolly shop.)

Wirelessly posted (iPhone 3G 16GB: Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 2_0 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/525.18.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/3.1.1 Mobile/5A345 Safari/525.20)

This is a joke, right? Rain won't hurt it.

Yeah. You just hang up and put it somewhere safe from the water. I once dropped mine in snow (it fell out of my pocket as I got out of the car) and I thought my heart stopped, but I picked it up and it was fine. I LUCKED OUT obviously.

What I've done before, especially when going to theme parks and whatnot, is bring along a Ziploc bag and put it in the bag when water could be an issue.

If I think of it, I put it away. The water indicator is in the headphone jack, if water gets in there, no warrenty repairs

cover the headphone port as thats where the water damage indicator is

I was surprised that nobody said this first... Its the most reasonable solution to light rain... I was always paranoid even after a storm where trees or gutters were still dripping. I'd cover the port if walking under them..

But during a downpour... use the headphones!

yeah, if I think of it, ill throw the earbuds on. Great quality and the phone is safe in my pocket. Though most people see the white earbuds and think im listening to an iPod, just talking to myself.

Open my umbrella. I'm living in England, people here never leave the house without an umbrella :D

Makes me wonder whether Mac fanbois would pay a premium for a white umbrella with an alumium handle and an Apple logo..
