After almost a year, a couple of my 4 AirTags had battery issues. So I started removing the battery when I'm not travelling. I use them for luggage and my backpack.

Is that a good approach? Any issues removing the battery for long periods of time?

Thanks

That does save the battery I repurpose some of mine. The one from my luggage I will put in a jacket pocket that I wear out for the night. Another one I will use in a sunglasses case.

The batteries are so cheap, and they last for a year - I leave mine in, so I can always track my AirTags.

If you think that you wouldn't be using one/several of your AirTags for well over a year, then it may pay to remove the batteries - to prevent any chance of corrosion.
