When using a notebook on the plane it drives me crazy when the person next to me, across the aisle, etc, is obviously reading what I'm working on.

I have a picture of my junk that I pull up on screen whenever I have someone rubber-necking. They either get disgusted and stop looking or get interested. Either way, I win.

I don't use my laptop on flights.. there's enough AVOD in flight entertainment to keep me entertained (otherwise I just sleep). The laptop stays in it's sleeve, inside my carry on bag which is in the overhead compartment

i leave it in my backpack except for when i need it i will never Check it after one flight i was in Hawaii and my bags and golf clubs ended up in Texas

I put it away in it's case and ask the guy / girl next to me to watch over it. Also, I never check any of my electronics in. I have lost countless suitcases due to the messed up system they have. Even if they don't loose your luggage, it often comes back all banged up. Plus, the airliners usually won't pay for any damages done to electronics.

Check it in...i rely on my iPhone during flights

lost luggage or ripped open bag, anyone? that happened to me once- all my clothes fell out (nowadays you can't put locks on your luggage thanks to tsa or whatever). i'd just leave it on my seat in the sleeve (it's waterproof);)

I've had 2 bags get lost (never seen or heard from ever again) so I seriously doubt I will be checking in something as precioussss as my MBP... (thankyouverymuch.)

I had a carry-on, which was plane-side checked, lost and never recovered. Had a nearly brand-new pair of ski boots in there, used only on that trip. No way I'd check my MBP after that experience. The airline typically won't replace electronics, prescription glasses, etc, either. They say that those items should be kept with you. Caveat emptor.

I leave it in my bag under the seat and use my iphone. That is the safest place for a computer during a flight in economy class. There are just too many opportunities for disaster with so many people crammed into such a small space. If I win the lottery and start flying 1st class, perhaps I'll change my mind.

If the dude next to me is drinking anything, I leave the computer in my bag under the seat. I've seen too many spills, a couple of them onto me.

I'd just put it in my Incase Sleeve and leave it, there's nowhere for anyone to run, and somebody would have seen anything happen if it did, and you could just report the theft and the police will check everyone when the plane lands.

Ring the attendant button and have the flight attendant take care of your MBP, then ask for it back when your "business" is taken care of.
