    Hey everyone,

So I've been checking out benchmarks and some predictions as to what you all expect from the upcoming MBP range. So tell me, what do you all expect to see?

List everything you expect to see, from processors by screen size, to design, or even number and type of USB ports.

    My personal predictions:

    13" MBP:
    core i3/i5
    4/6gb ddr3 ram
    current HDD specs
appearance: re-model of current macbook range (the new white ones)

    15" MBP:
    core i3/i5/i7
    4/6/8gb ddr3 ram
current HDD specs (maybe addition of 1tb@7200RPM, and 500GB ssd)
    appearance: same as 13"

    17" MBP:
    core i5/i7
    6/8gb ddr3 ram
current HDD specs (with same as 15" additions)
appearance: same as 13" and 15"

    OTHER:
Possibility of 4x USB ports on 17", 3x USB ports on 15" and 13".
Possibility (5% chance) of USB 3.0 (again, very unlikely)
(Hopefully) a design not like that of the macbook (common, we pay more, we deserve better xD)
    Faster CD/DVD reader/writer
(core i9 to come to MBPs in october/november 2010 release)
And as apple seems to love doing for us....improved battery life.

Hope to hear from u all.

We expect the six-core Gulftown CPU, probably in dual CPU configuration.

Then there will be a Quadro card of some kind and a 512GB SSD, and also 8GB of RAM as standard for the whole line.

Also the battery life will increase by at least 200% and the whole MBP line will get a design overhaul and be less than 2cm thin.

We also expect some kind of multi touch to be incorporated, but we only know for sure, that it will be as a keyboard display. So no more physical keys as it seems.

But seriously, why another thread. You should know by now, that there will be no more MBPs. Apple moves all its attention to the iPad and its sibling, the iPad Pro and the BadPad Minus. And some other products we know for sure, but aren't allowed to tell you unless you read the forum rules.

So why didn't you add your $0.02 worth to those threads rather than start a new one? Those ARE the rules.

Benchmarks from elsewhere (not macrumors) and predictions were not necessarily in threads based on predictions.

Also, core i7 (thought be be i9 << that one) isnt released yet, why expect it?

But you still posed a question, of what WE expect from the updates.

There are literally dozens of threads about this and one comes particularly in mind. The Arrandale IV thread. Getting updated every 15 seconds.

IV stands for Intra Venously by the way, not four. You will get that after reading the former three.
