What do you guys use your MacBook Pro for?

i use my mbp for

Web Surfing
Newsgroups
Torrent files
As an htpc to stream wmv movies to the xbox 360
watch videos
ichat
listen to music
take it around the house, outside anywhere


I also have a 2.8ghz 8 core mac pro with 16gb of RAM and I use that mainly for downloading encoding hd content, ripping, everything above listed and whatever goes and storage of music and movies.

Then whenever I want to use to watch to stream 1080p/720p movies onto my 1080p hdtv, I load the movie up on the mbp and just stream from the mbp to the xbox 360 and put the mac pro to sleep (since the mp is in the same room where my 52" sony bravia and 2 receivers and power amp and the xbox 360, all that makes the room warm especially with the mac pro running, so I just put the mp to sleep and use the mbp to stream. =D

Looks like someone has ALOT of money! What is your job?

I work go to school & manage my own business all in this 15" powerhouse.
Everything related to all 3 from notes to finances is done with it.
Plus my hobbies like playing the guitar, photography & film.

Use ichat a lot to see my son and wife when away.
Take funny pictures of myself to make my son laugh.
Use slingbox to watch tv while traveling.
Remotely connect to my quad mac pro for business use.
Presentations for both work and my business.
Use etrade power for my investments.

I cant believe my entire life is on a 320gb hard drive.

Off topic my iphone is both my personal & business phone plus
I recieve my business mail (orders etc scanned)and faxes directly sent to my email.
Since the iphone have the full html capability my office is both my iphone and macbook pro.
I cant function without the 2 they go everywhere with me.

I am a road warrior and my MBP is my personal assistant.
PHEW you know what they say "get rich or dye trying" have to continue moving.
